Important Operational Considerations
The UFO Clear X-1 is a mission-specific tool, not a continuous-duty lighthouse lamp. It is designed for targeted, high-impact use when you need extreme-range illumination — not for burning 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Warm-Up Time: This xenon system requires 20–45 seconds to reach full brightness. Instant-on LEDs are not an option at this intensity level. Plan accordingly for operations.
- Power Requirements: The X-1 requires a 208–264V AC power source — standard European 220–240V mains. Just plug it in.
- Lamp Life: Expect approximately 750 hours of operation before replacement is needed. In practice, for most users operating on demand (e.g., 2–3 hours per week), this translates to one to three years of service. The lamp is user-replaceable and available through us.
In short: This is not a lighthouse. It is a high-intensity tool for when you need to see, identify, and document at extreme range. When used as intended, the lamp life is more than adequate for years of service.
